The game uses Valves's proprietary Source engine, and is available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X. Development on the game was completed on November 13, 2008. and two versions were released digitally: A downloadable digital version, released on November 17, 2008, and a digital retail disc version, with a release date determined by region. The detail retail disc version was released in North America and Australia on November 18, 2008; and in Europe and Japan on November 21, 2008.

Set during the afternath of an apocalyptic pandemic, the game pits its four protagonists- dubbed the "Survivors" -against hordes of the infected.There are four games modes: a single-player mode in which allied characters are controlled by AI; a four player, co-op campaign mode; an eight-player online versus mode; and a four-player survival mode.In all modes, an artificial intelligence (AI), dubbed the "Director", controls level pacing and item replacements, in an attempt to create a dynamic experience and increases replay valve.

Killing Floor(abbreviate as KF) is a cooperative first-person shooter video game developed and published by Tripwire Interactive.It was orginally released as an Unreal Tournament 2004 mod in 2005. Retail release followed on May 14, 2009, for Microsoft Windows, and for OS X on May 5, 2010. The Linux version was released on the Steam Platform in November 2012.




Killing Floor is a first person shooter, allowing each player to move through a 3D environment. Gameplay consists of a single game type, in which the player fights waves of zombie-like specimens, with each wave becoming successively more difficult, until it concludes with a batle against a "boss" specimen, called the patriach. Playes earn in game money for each kill, as well as for surviving to the end of a wave. In the time betweeen each waves, palyers can visit a trafer to buy and sell ammo, armor, and addtional weapons, ranging from katanas, pipe bombs, flamethrowes. shotguns, and so forth; the Trader's location on the level varies at the end of each wave, discouraging players from camping in one location.

The Battlefield is a series of FPS video games that started with the Windows/Mac game Battlefield 1942.The game is developed by the Swedish Company DICE, and published by Electronic Arts.The game feature a greater focus on large maps, teamwork and vechile warfare than traditional first-person shooters. The Battlefield game has served more than 50 million players worldwide as of 2012, across 11 games and 12 expansion pacKs released since its inception in 2002.The game has a recognizable 6-beat sting.

Batllefield was released on September 10, 2002 ,using the refractor gaming engine ,and introduced the "Conquest" gameplay mode in which players fougt for "capture points" throughout the map.Two expansion packs were released, The Road of Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII. The game Battlefield takes place in modern day, during a fictional war between the United states, China, and the fictional Middle Easter Coalition(MEC). Despote it requires numerous software package due to the large number of bugs and glitches in the game upon its release, it was ac commercial success, selling over 2,250,000 copies worldwide, as of july 2006.

Age of Empires is a series of compter games developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Studios.The fisrt little of the series was Age of Empires, released in 1997.Since then, seven titles and three spin-offs have been released.The tiltles are historical real time strategy games, and their gameplay revolves around two main game modes: Single player and Campaign.They competed with another popular strategy series, Civilization, and are set amidst hostorical events. Age of Empires focuese on events in Europe, Africa and Asia, spanning form the Stone Age to the Iron Age; the expansion game explored the formation and expansion of the Roman Empire. The sequel. Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, was set in the Middle Ages, while its expansion of the Roman Empire.The subseqeunt three games of Age of Empires III explored the early morden peroid, when Europe was colonizing the Americans and several Asian different apporach as a free-to-play online games ultilzing Games for Windows Live. A spin off game, Age of Mythology, was set in the same period as the original Age of Empires, but focused on myhtological elements of Greek,Eygptian and, Norse mythology.

The game revolves three species:the Terrans, human exiles from Earth,the zerg, a super-species of  assimilated life forms and the protoss,a technologically advanced species with cast mental powers.Wings of Liberty focuses on the Terrans, and Protoss, respectively.The game is set for four years after the events of 1998's Starcraft II:Brood War, and foloes the exploits of Jim Raynor as he leads an insurgent group against the autocratic Terran Dominoin.

Call  of  duty  is  a first person  and  third  person  computer / video  game  franchise. The  series  began  on  the PC, and later expanded to conceles and handhelds. Several spin  off  games  have also  been  released. The  earlier  games in  the  series  are  set  primarily  in  World  WarII,  this includes  Call  of  Duty ,Call  of  Duty, and  Call  of  Duty. Beginning  with  Modern  Website,  which  is  set  in  modern times,  the  series  has  shifted  focus  away  from  World  War II. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (released November 2007)  was  followed  by  Call  of  Duty : World  at  War  and Call of Duty:Modern Walfare. Black Ops (released November 2010)  takes  place  in  the  Cold  War,  while  Modern Walfare  3  (released  November  2011)  takes  place  in  the near-future  setting . Black  Ops2  (released November 2012) takes  place  in  the  year  2025.

The Call  of  Duty  games  are  published and owned byActivision. While the studio Infinity Ward primarily still develops them, Treyarch has also developed several of the titles with the release of the studios' games interlaced with each other. Some games have been developed by Gray  Matter Interactive, Nokia, Exakt Entertaiment, Spark Unlimited, Amaze Entertainment, n-Space, Aspyr, Rebellion Developments, Ideaworks Game Studio, Sledgehammer Games and nStigate Games.

Counter-Strike is a tatical first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation which is orginated from a Half-Life modification by Minh Gooseman Le and Jess Cliffe.By the fourth beta version,Valve Software,the developer who created Half -life,began assisting in the development of  Counter Strike.In 2000,Valve bought the rights  to Counter-Strike , and would publish the title for Microsoft Windows that year, and later in 2003 for the Xbox. Os-X and Linus ports wew available in January 2013.

The games has been expanded into a series since its original release , which currently includes Counter-Strike:Condition Zero, Counter - Strike: Source , and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive .Counter-Strike pits a team of terrorist against a team of Counter terrorist in a series of rounds.Each round is won by either completing the misson objective or eliminating the opposing force.

This game was the most played Half-Life modification in terms of players,according to Gamespy in 2008.

Defense of the anceint(DOTA)  is  a  multiplayer  online  battle arena  mod   for  the  video game Warcraft II: Reign of Chaos  and  its  expansion, Warcraft III : The  Frozen Throne , based  on  the  "Aeon  of Strife"  map for StarCraft. The objective  of  the  scenario is  for  each  team  to  destroy  the  opponents'  Ancient, heavily guarded structures  at  opposing  corners  of  the  map . Players  use  powerful  units  known  as heroes,  and  are  assisted  by  allied  heroes  and AI - controlled  fighters . As  in  Role-playing  games,  players  level  up  their  heroes  and  use  gold  to  buy  equipment  during the  mission.

The  scenario  was  developed  with  the  "World Editor"  of  Reign of  Chaos,  and  was updated  upon  the  release  of  its  expansion , The  Frozen  Throne . There  have  been many  variations  of  the original  concept ; the  most  popular  being  DotA  Allstars, which eventually  was  simplified  to  DotA  with  the  release  of  version  6.68. This  specific scenario  has  been  maintained  by  several  authors  during  development, the  latest  of whom  being  the  anonymous  developer  known  as  "IceFrog"  developing  the  game since 2005.

Since  its  original  release,  DotA  has  become  a  feature  at  several  worldwide tournaments,  including  Blizzard  Entertainment's  BlizzCon  and  the  Asian World  Cyber Games, as well  as  th e Cyberathlete  Amateur and CyberEvolution  leagues ; in a 2008 article of video game industry website Gamasutra, the article's author claimed that "DotA is likely the most popular and most-discussed  free, non-supported  game mod  in the world".DotA is largely attributed to being the most significant inspiration for the multiplayer  online  battle  arena  genre. Valve  Corporation  acquired  the  intellectual property  rights  to DotA  to  develop  and  release  a  stand-alone  sequel , Dota 2.

  Borderlands  is an action role - playing first-person shooter video game, that was developed by Gearbox software for Playstation 3,Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It was first revealed in the september 2007 issue of game informer magazine.The console versions of the game were released in North America on October 20, 2009, and were releases in PAL countries .The console version release for the Japanese market was available on February 25, 2010.The Windows version was released on October 26 for North America and then on October 29 internationally.The Mac OS X version of the game was released on December 3, 2010 by Feral Interactive.A sequel Borderlands 2, was released on September 18, 1012 in the U.S and on September 21 in other countries.


Borderlands includes character-building elements found in role playing games,leading Gearbox to call the game as a role plating shooter.At the start of the game players select one of four characters, each with a unique special skills and with proficiencies with certain weapons.The four characters are:Roland the Soldier, Mordecia the Hunter, Lilith the Siren, and Brick a bersereker.
